The “Top Docs” are selected based on a peer survey conducted by the magazine’s editorial staff. The online survey asked physicians with active medical licenses in Cabarrus, Gaston, Mecklenburg and Union counties: What doctor would you call if you or a loved one needed medical care? Doctors could not vote for themselves.
Dr. Weidman also made the list in 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. He specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, vitreous hemorrhage, and macular diseases such as macular degeneration, macular holes and macular pucker.
